Cera’s Gender Pay Information
At Cera, women make up 92% of Cera’s overall workforce. A gender pay gap is a measure of the difference in the average pay of men and women across an entire organisation, regardless of the nature or level of their work. It highlights the different number of men and women across all roles. This is different from an equal pay comparison of two people doing similar roles.
Gender Pay Gap 2019
- Mean pay gap for hourly pay rate: -44% for women
- Median pay gap hourly pay rate: -21% for women
- Mean bonus pay: +47% for women
This is due to the much larger proportion of women working as entry roles in care at Cera.

Our commitment
We are committed to improving opportunities for our employees to progress to achieve greater gender balance across all levels.
For our entry level roles as a Professional Care Assistant, we recognise we offer a route into employment through flexible, local work which is often taken up by women, so we are also focusing on encouraging both men and women to make the most of flexible working opportunities within care.
Here are some of our commitments to our employees to change the gender pay gap:
- Flexible working
- Talent development and growth opportunities
- Supporting working parents
